Who ever gave this series one star apparently never read anythin

Who ever gave this series one star apparently never read anything Preston and Child ever wrote. My son (a huge fan) recommended this duo to me a few years ago when I was laid up having elbow surgery. You start with their first book and read them in order of press date. Include their solo endeavors as well since quite often they take favorite characters from them. If they haven't killed them off in one book chances are good they will show up again further down the line. If you are like most by the time you have read 3 or 4 books "Pendergast" will be one of your favorite characters of all time!
I could go on and on about the attributes of this writing team...they are that good!!
In this particular trilogy you truly get to know Agent Pendergast quite a bit of it involves his childhood. From his upbringing in a wealthy New Orleans family, some very colorful relatives to his deeply twisted brother Diogenes you finally get a sense of who this illustrious FBI agent is and how he came to be. It is a thrilling ride and absolute page turner...I don't think I even took a breath between books!

I have read all the Preston & Child books, sometimes both in hard copy and on CD (books on tape). As another reviewer wrote - read them in order of press date and you will quickly fall in love with the world they have created. Pendergast is one of my favorite characters of all books that I have read, and I'm an avid reader.

    EXCELLENT, OUTSTANDING, & EXTREMELY ENJOYABLE

The Diogenes Trilogy grabbed my attention, and never let go ! From the first page to the last, I was completely engrossed. I cannot remember ever enjoying a book as much as I enjoyed this one. I was taken on a roller coaster of emotions, from excitement to terror , to exhilaration, to sorrow, to laughter, and tears, and, amazement. I never wanted this book to end. Even when I was too sleeply to keep reading, I could not put it down. Now I am compelled to read everything else that is written by Preston and Child, about agent Pendergast. He has become one of my most favorite characters ever ! WOW !!! What a great book this is.
