Alot of what I was expecting.

I was a Crue fan growing up as a kid, and fell out of them in later years. Later on, I always got the feeling that these guys were scumbags.

After reading "The Dirt", my suspicions were confirmed. These guys ARE scumbags...just really interesting scumbags.

    Great book for Crue fans.

This book is great as it is written by the band members themselves. By the end of the book you really get a good idea of what these people are really like. It's funny, gross, honest and sad. I enjoyed it.

Great read for any Crue fan!

Just a great read for anyone that is a fan of Motley Crue. Interesting to read about the experiences the members of Motley went through.

    Get the Dirt!

A great, absorbing read - To quote a rock n roll journalist "Everything you've ever thought about rock bands is confirmed by this book."

    Loved it!

I really enjoy reading autobiographies about rock stars/bands. I loved Motley Crue when I was in high school. They were such rebels! The book was good and I liked getting the same story from every point of view. It is amazing they survive the debauchery and hard living!

    Great, fast read

I was not able to put the book down. The Dirt perfectly tells the tale of the Decadent 80s music scene. Shows true emotion. As you read it, you are not sure whether to laugh, cry, feel sorry for the band, or feel sorry for everyone they came in contact with. Recommended reading, but not for the timid.

How are these guys still alive?

Just plain funny, bizarre, sad, entertaining and extremely interesting all in one. In the beginning, it reminded of an extreme example of what my fraternity was like and then spiraled out of control from there. The fact that each is even alive is amazing in its own right, but given their childhoods (especially Nikki's) you can't help but develop a certain level of respect for these guys.

A MUST READ FOR METAL HEADS AND LOVERS OF ROCK & ROLL THE WORLD OVER

This was awesome. If you love the Crue or rock & roll of any kind you'll love this. Got a band? Struggling to make it? They did too. Been to jail? It's in there. Drugs? Yep, that too. I only give it 4 out of 5 stars because only Vince Niel and Tommy Lee Write, I want some Nikki Sixx and Mick Marrs!
