    Excellent book beyond the basics

Elements of Ritual is a beginning-to-end study of casting a Wiccan circle. It delves into all the nitpicky little details that most books leave out. It is very practical, like giving 'stage directions' and reminders about shopping, but it is also mystical, with a list of recommended meditations for each phase of ritual. It gets into psychological, interpersonal, and theological factors, all structured by the four elements. This is a wise book. It is also refreshing to see something that isn't another Wicca 101.

one of the best books on witchcraft and the elements ever!!!!!

This book is one of the best books I have read on the the subject of witchcraft and the elements. Many authors only discuss this as a paragraph or at most a chapter. Ms. Lipp covers all the aspects in detail with clarity and concise descriptions. She leaves enough for you to individualize it, yet doesn't gloss over any part of the elements. If you truly want to know why you are doing the ritual or what the symbolism is, this is the book for you. Not a beginners book in witchcraft, but if you have gotten beyond the basics and want more than a "recipe" book, this is for you.
