A Student Human RIghts Activist
I recieved a copy of the book in July during a porgram called STAND Camp. It was a to educate leaders of STAND Chapters around the country on the current issues around the world pertaining to genocide. We recieved the book when we got to "Camp" and on Saturday night I believe, we heard a lecture by John Prendergast. Afterwards we were given a chance to get our books signed. Last night at about 6 I picked up my copy of the book and if it weren't for my busy schedule probably would of been done reading by now. Its a fascinating book. Since Februaury I've been fascinated by the world of genocide and even more interested in ending it. I can't wait to finish the book. I recommend this book to everyone. I would also like the people commiting and affected by genocide to read it because it enligtening. It shows the commiters that they're losing and its over and it shows the victims that theres hope and that people of all ages from all over the world are supportive of the end of genocide. I think this book is amazing. I would like to get my copy signed by Don Cheadle also and I LOVE this book.

Wonderful book - very informative and straightforward
I think that The Enough Moment is a spectacular book. It tells the world about some of the worst injustices that people are dealing with in our world today. I think that everybody should know about conflicts that go on in other countries so we can help each other in the time of need. The book is very informing; and it should open a lot of people's eyes. By reading this book, I have learned many inside stories about what goes on in Africa, and some of Africa's history in past conflicts. And according to the authors, Africa has survived some of the worst conflicts; there is still hope for Africa, so don't give up. The message that Prendergast and Cheadle are trying to convey to us is that we, the people, need to step up to the plate and fight for what's right. They talk about the roles the politicians should be playing in stopping these crimes, such as making peace deals, protecting the people of these human rights crimes, and punishing those that are responsible. Prendergast and Cheadle call this the three P's. They also talk about the role of the American people; how we need to spread the word and get involved in the movement. The authors state that great people movements, such as the civil rights movement, resulted in a great and better change. They feel the same about the movement in Africa; everyone just needs to get involved. In the book, Prendergast and Cheadle compared people not doing anything to help change the world for the better, to bystanders. A bystander is a person that's present, but not involved. Prendergast and Cheadle want us to be Upstanders, to join the movement and shape the world into a better place for everyone to live in and for children to be raised in. I think that this book will have a great impact on the world; it has only been out three months, so we have to give it time to circulate. After reading this book, it should make you want to jump up and start getting involved right then, and there. This book contains so many touching stories and people's personal accounts of the cruelty they have faced and how they have not given up the fight; so we shouldn't either. We need to keep striving, because the best is yet to come if we encourage others to join the movement, and get the government more involved.
