Enjoyable Early Sinatra
This is a nice introduction to the early career of Sinatra as the soloist for the Tommy Dorsey orchestra, before he went out on his own. It is fascinating to hear early versions of some songs that he recorded later with different arrangements. Here, you get the exquisite, heartbreakingly beautiful voice in all its youthful glory and it's easy to understand why Sinatra became the idol of the bobby-soxers.Was this review helpful? Bad sound and not upbeat
The sound quality is bad and Sinatra is not very upbeat as he sings these songs. Listen to "Oh, Look at Me Now!" on this CD, then listen to "Oh, Look at Me Now!" on the CD titled "A Swingin' Affair!" It's like night and day.
