The Fast Diet Cookbook features the method of Intermittent fasting (5:2 diet), which claims to have many benefits to your health, including the cleansing of toxins. The appeal for this diet, versus other fads, is that one can resume normal eating habits if they want to, except for those two days in which they are encouraged to follow the Fast Diet Cookbook recipes, which contain fresh ingredients that are easy to prepare and full of nutrients to get through the day. Ideal for people who want to steer toward reduced calorie intake as a form of weight loss versus a demanding exercise regimen.

The Fast Diet Cookbook: Low-Calorie Fast Diet Recipes and Meal Plans for the 5:2 Diet and Intermittent Fasting is not actually about losing weight quickly but about the idea of fasting. The first half breaks down the concept very nicely by providing health benefits and providing statistical backup as to why this diet works. The second half breaks daily meal plans down to make everything easier and easy to follow.

Intermittent fasting is a weight-loss strategy avoid the usual dieting pitfalls: frustrated hunger and listlessness. By cutting calories once or twice a week, we can burn fat and gradually change our eating habits. The book offers menu plans and some tasty, simple recipes to sustain us on fast days. The recipes for “normal” days are less useful, and the scientific discussion that opens the book is a bit tentative, but overall this is a promising guide to sustainable weight loss.

The recipes in this book are so flavorful and satisfying you'll forget they are low-calorie. The great thing about
the Fast Diet is that you don't have to feel as though you're sacrificing taste, even on fasting days. The Fast Diet
is based on the concept of two non-consecutive fasting days coupled with five days of sensible eating each week.
This makes dieting simple and, if you follow this plan, weight-loss is practically guaranteed.

The Fast Diet Cookbook suggests a new diet twist called ¿Intermi

The Fast Diet Cookbook suggests a new diet twist called “Intermittent fasting”. I admit I was not convinced (at first) to consider “intermittent fasting” as a possible diet option that would work for me. I was not convinced by language that was too vague about the science behind the fasting; too many phrases like “studies suggest” and “may indicate”. But I did like the suggestion that it “can improve your eating habits (by) changing the way you look at food”. I can see where it would help identify issues with my eating habits and maybe even be inspired to change the poor ones. For example, I love making Jiffy brand Blueberry muffins, but the book has a recipe for Lemon Blueberry Muffins that gets rid of the saturated fats and refined sugars that I don’t need.

This is a great cook book.  And then it also has a fantastic section about using the recipes to diet.  The recipes include vegan, seafood and meaty goodness.  Also, there are meals of 100 calories that still have bacon.  Somehow a diet can taste good.  There is a great section for referencing low-cal quick snacks.  I’m tired of always being hungry when I’m trying to lose weight; this book will definitely help.

I loved this diet book. There’s lots of practical advice for dieting and for making sure you don’t fall into the usual “fad diet” pitfalls. The best part, though, was the wide variety of dishes. Usual fare like burgers and soups are complemented by international cuisine, and even some vegetarian and gluten-free options. I would recommend this book to just about anyone.

The Fast Diet Cookbook is a great alternative to hardcore fasting. The great thing about this fast is that you don't have to starve yourself. You just eat on a reduced calorie plan for any two days out of a week as long as they are not back-to-back. This cookbook has helped me to look at fasting in a totally different way.

It is about dieting intermittently, twice per week. It provides guidelines about exercise when fasting, the benefits, cautions, caveats, calorie information, side effects of the diet, consecutive versus non-consecutive diets, food to eliminate, food replacements, non basic tasty recipes with calorie count, meal plans, and a short glossary. The recipes are not of the simple sandwich meals, but rather of the gourmet and some of the bakery and desert types, but not extremely complicated to do. They do not require a chef, but some require an oven and sometimes some not everyday ingredients.

The Rockridge Press Fast Diet Cookbook presents an effective alt

The Rockridge Press Fast Diet Cookbook presents an effective alternative to fad diets. The book sites supporting studies performed at University of California, Berkley and Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Despite the many benefits of fasting it is not for everyone. Pregnant women and those who have had eating disorders are discouraged from fast dieting. The authors state that everyone should check with a medical professional before embarking on any new diet and particularly with regard to fasting.
Once you’ve decided this is the right choice for you delve into the appetizing recipes without hesitation. The grilled vegetable salad was a personal favorite of mine as well as the chocolate zucchini bread. Another great piece to the book is its list of alternative snacks and ingredients. This can help you stick to the diet without being forced to eat foods you don’t like or give up foods you love.
Overall, The Fast Diet Cookbook is highly accessible. Charts and lists are placed strategically to help readers follow the diet. Additionally, the dishes spelled out in the book are enticing and flavorful. For the right individual, The Fast Diet Cookbook provides a healthy effective way to lose weight.
