Best Book Ever!!!

My 9yr. old goes threw some anxiety and worries and she loves to read this book over and over again. It helps her realize these are normal feelings and how to deal with them. We both recommend this book - highly!! You wont be sorry.

    Buy this book!

This changed my daughter....literally overnight. I would recommend this to all parents that have girls. My daughter isn't even An American Girl fan, but LOVED this book and the Journal...and all it had to offer...Once I gave her teh book she didnt' stop until she read it all and filled out the journal. Our relationship is completley different now and we communicate so much better. I am THRILLED!

You won't regret purchasing this book. Give one to every young girl you know!

I have two daughters (8, 10) who received this book and several others from American Girls as gifts from me. I was nervous that they wouldn't like them, or look at me like I am completely crazy. Surprisingly, both girls absolutely love the books. My 10 yr old has been dealing with what I consider to be ridiculous drama at school with her group of friends. I did not have the same experience when I was in elementary school, so it has been difficult for me to relate to this issue. American Girls to the rescue!

The advice given in these books are appropriate for their age range - presented in a way that doesn't seem like a lecture. Several times recently my daughter has had a question about how to handle a situation, and before I can make a suggestion, she's looking it up in her American Girls library. My 10 yr old daughter has started experiencing cycles of emotion that she doesn't understand. Knowing that she's not alone, that it's ok to be angry or sad, and how to express it in a healthy way - these are all concepts she's learned from this book.

I am grateful for the entire series! I recommend these books as gifts, starting with girls as young as 8 so there is time to learn about how to handle situations before getting in to them. The books make great gifts, and are wonderful to use as conversation starters with your child.

    Great for Moody Girls

My 8 yo really struggles sometimes with expressing herself. I found this was helpful to distract from full on tantrums. She also has the journal so she can write down her thoughts and feelings as well.

helps tremendously with the girly grumpies!

We bought this book for our 7 year old little girl. She was at that grumpy after school phase in addition to the could be grumpy at any moment phase. She read the book first and then we would let her read it to us. She loved it and now goes and reads it when she needs to settle down. I think it helped her to relate to normal girl feelings that her 2 brothers can't relate too.

American Girl has done it again!

Another great book which helps girls untangle the maze of emotions they experience as part of the growing up process. It is a great resource for parents and educators.

I bought this book for the B&N book drive.

I thought the subject of the book was appropriate for any child receiving it. I hope that proves to be true.
