A riveting insight into public relations
This is possibly one of the most original, modern texts on public relations - a field that suffers from too little research. Obviously highly specialised, since it is a PhD thesis, it is nonetheless a riveting "read" (not your everyday academic jargon - though the research is tight). Smith takes an in-depth look at why there are so few males in public relations and whether this might have long-term implications for an industry that has many perceived problems. Also good to see that it came out of Australia, rather than the US. There are also quite a few more UK texts now as well.
