This is the LAST diet I'll ever be on!,

I'm 53 year mom of 5 children and have spent the greater part of my adult life around 20 pounds overweight and trying all the latest diets to lose it. Usually I would be successful and drop 10 to 15 pounds but then I would get bored with the plan and gain it all back in a few weeks. The philosophy of flavor point is right on. We are bombarded with so many choices of mixed up flavors in the United States that those of us who struggle with extra weight have lost the ability to be satisfied. This diet redirects your appestat or defines and simplifies the point of satiety so you can recognize when it comes. The recipes alone in this book are more than worth it. My husband who will order a chicken dish in a restaurant just because he likes chicken said that the Currant Roast Chicken with Caramelized Onions was the best chicken that he's ever eaten. And my daughter who normally will not touch fish liked the Lemon Chives Tilapia a lot.The amazing thing is that although everything tastes so delicious, your time in the kitchen is minimal and the food is readily available at the supermarket. One of the biggest benefits of this diet is that I am realizing that I don't need tons of food to feel satisfied. Really good flavor is now more important than abundance to me! I am so thankful for the simplification of my eating habits.Sincerely,Valerie Porter

    Delicious and Nutritious

My husband and I have been on The Flavor Point Diet as a means to control our weight gain. By learning to limit the flavors at meal time you are satisfied while eating less food! This has been very easy for us to follow and we just love the receipes that are included they are full of flavor while being very healthy and enjoyable to eat. We don't consider this way of eating a diet, just a new way to control your appetite!

Age 63, lost 16 pounds in 6 weeks

I have found that this really works and that you can ¿eat to live¿. I lost 16 pounds in six week and I plan to follow this method the rest of my life. Even though you do feel satisfied with the meals, it¿s also very satisfying to know that you are no longer loading your body up with sugar, saturated fat, cholesterol, and sodium. Since the book includes a six week, flexible meal plan with all the recipes, the hard part has been done for you. Just plan your meals and buy the ingredients. This really helped make the program a success.

    The Flavor Point Diet

I have recently started this diet (two weeks ago) and already have lost 4 pounds! As a health care professional, I am aware of good nutrition, but tended to follow the low carb, no carb diets ... this diet is different. I like the fact that you can have bread - and there is excellent variety in the food choices. The first week did involve a bit of planning, but what diet doesn't? The food is absolutely delicious! I thought it would be too much cooking, but now I'm finding that each night is a new gourmet adventure! I can't seem to find 'room' for any of the desserts - you are never hungry on this diet! I think I can stick with this one for the long haul!

The search is over for the perfect diet.

The first paragraph hooked me and I had to read the whole book the first night. The real reason for overeating is not being fullfilled. The flavor day concept was so logical. Everyday we mix dozens of flavors that don't work together and you never feel satisfied. This book has been an awakening for me, the first day on the six week program and I knew this was what I have been looking for. The recipes are delicious and easy to prepare even on a time budget. The chicken salad is my favorite I never missed the mayonaise. Even the desserts are great, the best part they are all natural no artificial sweeteners. I am so thrilled to start the new year with The Flavor Point Diet. Thankyou Dr Katz.

An easy way to learn to eat healthy

I always thought of myself as a decent cook but I had no clue how and what to cook to be healthier. If people are looking for the diet that will allow them to continue to eat as they had, and lose weight they will never find one. Why else would they be looking for a better diet. I see ads for pills that will take off the weight, diets that will send you the food, and cards so you can count points on what you are eating. Who knows what the adverse effects are in the long range for those diet pills. I mean physics teaches, for every action there is a reaction. For the foods that are delivered, you still have absolutely no idea on how to prepare them for yourself, so when the costs gets to high you are right back where you started. As far as the cards go, I'm sorry I don't want to think that much about what I am eating. The point I am trying to make is this, The book is wonderful. With going through the flavors it helped me appreciate different flavors. Kept me feeling satisfied without ANY effort. and the food tastes great.

Our whole family loves the flavor variety of the Flavor Point

My husband and I are both committed to eating healthy (and in teaching our kids to eat healthy). We also wanted to lose some weight. However, because we both work full-time jobs, teach college courses part-time, and have two children (ages 3 and 9) to keep up with, eating healthy and losing weight was a challenge. We saw the Flavor Point diet featured on 20/20 and thought we¿d give it a try. The meal plans are easy to follow and offer a lot of variety. My husband and I, who have gotten sick of the same-old PBJ or turkey sandwiches for lunch, are really enjoying the lunch recipes. Our favorites were the spinach salad with lentils, raisins, and walnuts and the black bean and tomato salad. We made them the night before, put the salad in one Tupperware and the dressing in another and brought them to work ¿ they were delicious. Our one challenge was figuring out how to have smoothies in the office. We tried a couple of different things but what I found that worked was to make them the night before, freeze them and then put them in our lunch in the morning. This worked like a charm -- they were the perfect consistency by 2 or 3 in the afternoon. My favorite dinner recipe was the roasted chicken with currant wine glaze ¿ I made an 8 lb chicken and we had enough leftovers for two more meals! That is a real plus given our busy schedules. My oldest daughter is a picky eater who absolutely HATES EVERYTHING but chicken -- even SHE LIKED the Baked Tilapia with tomatoes, capers, and black olives. Her favorite Flavor Point dinner was the Mexican stuffed bell peppers which is easy to make and very kid- friendly. We love the food and we've started to lose weight! We love the Flavor-Point diet and so do our kids! We will definitely stick with it.

    Review from an insider...

I helped Dr. Katz run the pilot test for this book and I can say, without a doubt, that this plan works. I saw first hand people who were overweight, sluggish and with serious health problems go from one end of the health spectrum to the other. The participants lost weight, felt more energetic, looked better and had dramatic health benefits (i.e. lower cholesterol, blood pressure and dissipating heartburn). If you're looking for a way to change your health for life, this is it!

FINALLY - A WAY TO EAT FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY

This book is fantastic! So clear and so concise. Based on compelling research and combined with pertinent and time saving details such as, what grocery item can be found in what aisle. Now that's a helpful tip. The tone is friendly but authoritative. There is a 'one-on-one' sense that draws you in to a personal relationship with the authors (love the comments that go along with the recipes) and a feeling that you are interacting with someone who has the credentials and the research background to validate this breakthrough plan for weight loss and good health. There is wit and wisdom - science and culinary artistry - what a scrumptious stew of possibilities - all beautifully served up and easily digested. Congratulations to the authors - you did it - and I love it! Tonight stuffed peppers - pecan-encrusted tilapia - shrimp in basil pesto - who can decide? This book - for the ENTIRE FAMILY - is undoubtedly the last diet book we will ever need.

    Not Interested

I would not even take a chance and buy this book since his last book was so bad.
