    Substantial but not definitive

Generally speaking, i like to buy books like this, where there are multiple subjects under one master subject. Buying books like this gives you many paths to explore, instead of having to buy individualized books and learning what can easily take you 5 or more books on each of these subjects. Reading over the table of contents from the website, you can clearly see that this book covers a rather wide array of the more main stream of divination arts that you've at least heard of such as tarot, and chiromancy(palmisty). The book gives enough information so that you can actually have a basic and working knowledge of what you read about. For example, if you read the chapter about the I ching, and happen to have the coins, you can use the information that is already there and start getting readings and such. Speaking with experience in the divination arts, i already knew enough about most of the subjects talked about in this book that i didn't need the book to know what i already knew and have even practiced some of them rather extensively. Personally, i was hoping for a book that encompasses all known forms of divination no matter how obscure they maybe. For the beginning, or the just plain curious, this book would be an excellent addition to your library because it gives you insight into so many potential paths to explore. This book has substantial information, especially for a beginner, but it is not definitive. Overall, i liked this book.
