    I Also Recommend:

    Really pulled you in.

The author's first hand accounts are really detailed and she brings you along for her, at times, terrifying experiences. I appreciated the journal-like entries because it made reading the book that much more interesting and entertaining (although I'm sure the author wasn't very entertained while she was living the nightmare.) I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading first-person hauntings as this is one you won't be able to put down, or forget once you're done.

    Slow Read

A good story, however the writer rambles and is just as indecisive as she is about her ghost! Patients is what you need whe reading this book.

    Highly recommended...

I could not put this book down. The author was very candid about all of the experiences that she went through in the house and how they correlated into her personal life. I really felt like I knew the author and didn't want the book to end. Highly recommended to anyone with an interest in the paranormal or those who have experienced paranormal activities but were never able to speak about it openly.

The author is shockingly inarticulate and the "flow" of the book is choppy, at best. Grammar usage is extremely poor and one has to re-read sentences over and over to try to understand what the author is trying to say. The reader is left wondering the extent of the author's formal education. Do not buy this book; it is a frustrating read and skips from decade to decade and back again, as opposed to a chronological flow. I would like a refund, personally.

    Worst haunting book

I stopped reading by page 174 or so. Same things happening over and over. Objects moving around or disappearing seem to be the general theme of this book. Had this been the first haunting book i ever read i may have been scared. This book is a waste of time and money. Very disappointing. The author gets frightened very easily without acknowledging in some instances what is rational or logical not necessarily the part of ghosts.

    Wow!

...is all I can say. That woman was and is braver than I would ever be if I had to deal with what she dealt with! Scary, page turning, interesting, insightful. Her torture at the hands of these ghosts helped her grow into an amazing woman!

Finally a Ghost Story that resides in the Twin Cities

I first picked up this book because I hard about the author and book in the newspaper 'Minneapolis, Star Tribune' and I have always been a fan of a good ghost story -- even better if the story takes place no more than a 30 min drive from where I live. I would have read the book in a couple sittings, however, I had to get to work and do other obligations. The book is a real turn pager! I love the book! It is fun to read.. even if you are not from Minnesota!

Love the Author and the Story!

M.L. Wolem seems to be a rather new author, but I got to hand it to her, well done! Her humor and warm personality comforts you through this chilling story about her haunted house. I felt I was able to relate to her on all diffrent levels and was very sad when it was over!
