Touching and beautiful

Sometimes there are books that are overrated, this one however should've won every award out there. It is a touching story and even though it is sad at times there s always that hope that Peggy - the narrator and one of the main characters - will make the 'Giant' happy....

I think it was written by somebody who truly can put into words what genuine love is and is also familiar with what it means to feel isolated from society.Read it !

QUESTION?

Is it a love story between a twenty-six year old female and an eleven year old boy? I'm utterly confused.

My Favorite Book Of All Time

I picked this book up at the bookstore, having never heard of it. What a purchase! I absolutely fell in love with this story and have now read the book 3 times--something I never do. When my husband and I were dating, I told him it was my favorite book and he asked to borrow it and even he loved it! I highly, highly recommend this beautiful story.

    Amazingly Touching

I picked up this book on a whim, having never heard of the author or the book itself. I had no expectations and I was amazed with how engrossed I became. It is truly a unique love story and every page was beautifully written. I rate it very high on my list of favorite books.

    Simple yet beautiful

'The Giant's House' by Elizabeth McCracken is one of my all-time favorite books. I first bought the book when I was 14 and I have read it over and over. It is a wonderful story about an ordinary woman who finds extraordinary love. This book is a must for anyone who enjoys quirky, sweet stories which imaginative characters. You will never forget it!

This story is quirky and inhabited by peculiar characters--and I loved every page of it. An extraordinarily gifted and imaginative writer.
