Nutrious Meals & Treats
I recently made the stew for my papillon's birthday. I love the nutritional information, as my dog is overweight and I watch fat and calories. He loved it; and I loved that it was easy to make. The plus is that the recipes are healthy for him and made with the freshest ingredients.

Luke Loves It!
The Parsley Salmon Kibbles and the Frozen Banana Treats are the beta test and Luke loves the treats. (Luke is a 1-yr old mini-Schnauzer.) I can't wait to try more recipes. Both recipes were very easy.

Great help for my hound!
I thought cooking for my dog was a nutty idea until a cousin's dog was found to have food allergies and thus began her own canine culinary adventures. Curiosity made me look at the Barnes and Noble shelves for a book such as this one. My hound has had red itchy skin for a number of years. The vet attributed it to running through brush, etc., but as I read the sections in this book, as well as "Everything Cooking for Dogs" by Lisa Fortunato, I wondered if food allergies might be the reason for my hound's discomfort. Sure enough, wheat seems to be the culprit. A change in kibble and some recipes from this book have her feeling and eating so much better! She's a new dog! After following a few recipes, you also "get" the idea and can branch out on your own, modifying part of your own supper cooking to set aside for the dog in your life. I'm surprised as to how cost effective it is to cook for your dog. Premium canned foods are expensive, and you can dook fresh dog dinners for less bucks! The spiral format of the book make it easy to use. The pages are filled with colorful and delightful illustrations. There are plenty of options without wheat. Highly recommend.
