    Excellent book

This is an extremely well written account of the awful crimes committed by two cousins, known as the Hilllside Stranglers, between 1977 and 1979, in the Los Angeles area as well as in Washington state.
It's a scary book and kept me up at night thinking about what I had read. I also liked the portrayal of detective Grogan, one of the principal investigators of the case.
This book may not be for everyone because the crimes described are really disgusting and one wonders how twisted someone's mind must be to commit such criminal acts. However, it's an excellent account of these events.
The one drawback is that the book does not contain any illustrations at all.

    enlightening

True story... SOMETIMES confusing, but always sickening... the addage that truth is stranger than fiction certainly applies here.

    Interesting Reading

I found this book to be both interesting and informative. The description of the stranglers and the length of time it took to not only find them and then finally prosecute them was good. It was almost like a good mystery. Interestingly, Bob Grogan, one of the main investigators is retired and still alive doing what he always enjoyed....playing music.....

    Absolutely Riveting!

Very well-written, and most likely the best true crime book I have ever read. Chilling. I could not put it down. I highly recommend it!

    Really well done

I've read a lot of true crime, and this one stands out as really well written. No lazy regurgitation of trial transcripts. No haphazard cobbling together of interviews. Just a well presented account of a fascinating tale.
