    Concise but thorough. Hitchcock’s writing style is a joy to read. It’s hard to put down.Truly a new work. Not just built on the back of previous works.

    An excellent history of the Catholic Church; you will learn a lo

    An excellent history of the Catholic Church; you will learn a lot. But this should not be the first history of the Church that you read because it is arranged topically rather than chronologically. Read a straight chronological history first and then have a timeline in front of you when you read Hitchcock's work.
