This book is very anointed! I could not put it down. I read it in 2 days! Erica Karas has a sweet and loving spirit, which is evident by her writing style. She speaks to the reader and makes you feel loved. She talks to the reader as a dear freind. She tells how the Holy Spirit led her to "drink from scriptures" for knowledge, comfort and wisdom. She shares many of these scriptures in her book. The way the book flows, this has to be from God. "The Holy One of Israel" has a chapter that quotes Old Testament prophecies of the Messiah, Jesus Christ & the author takes you to the New Testament where these prophecies were fulfilled in a most unique way! The authour talks about her trials and tribulations, mostly childhood abuse resulting in low self-esteem, depression and bulimia. Erica Karas's description of her childhood abuse and battle with bulimia are heartfelt and tear jerking. She triumpently beats bulimia with the help of GOD! Her trials and tribulations and how she overcame them is very inspirational and encouraging. Erica Karas's love for God is felt throughout the entire book. I highly recommend this book for all those that want a closer walk with Jesus or who are going through and needed encouragement.
