This story is great!
The download was free, and the story was well written. I did not see the ending coming. I highly suggest reading this!!!

Exciting Story
This was a quick story, and quite quirky. It's a story about a man who is running late. Some might see the ending coming, but I had no clue.

Odd and wonderful little story
This short story is part of "The Endlands, Vol. 1" anthology - and it is a very odd little story. Charlie is the sort that has to always be early - if he's on time, he considers himself to be late. Today is a very important day - he's finally been called, and he wants to be certain that he arrives on time. Arriving three minutes early, he checks in and hurries down to the room where there are many other people - some are talking and laughing - some are singing - some are crying. He doesn't understand those - this is the most important day of his life! However, people who have arrived after him keep being called back before him, and he is worried that maybe he got skipped or overlooked ... but finally he is called.
This story had an ending that is quite a surprise - I had an inkling a bit ahead of time, but it is kept fairly mysterious. I can see how this is likely a love it or hate it sort of story - the main character is so twitchy that it made me twitchy just to read it! But I was one of the ones who loved it! I hope to catch some more stories from Vincent Hobbes' wonderfully imaginative mind.3 out of 3 people found this review helpful.

Was a very good short story. This would have made a super Twilight Zone feature. The author certainly takes you with him. Good job.............thank you.

Good Read
This short story/little nugget was interesting up to the very end. The story line (suspense)keep you reading until the end and makes you think of life in general. Be anxious for nothing; you never know how it's going to end.

Excellent story about a man named Charlie
I've read two other short stories by Vincent Hobbes. I must say, the man has talent. Each of the short stories are unique in their own way. The Hour of the Time is about a man named Charlie who seems to have a bad case of OCD. He's a rule-follower, and I imagine the author is an against the grain type person. His characterization was excellent. I really felt for Charlie and, hoping he would make his appointment on time....I didn't see the ending coming, though in hindsight i probably should have. Another excellent work and I'm curious to read more of his work. I appreciate when authors release short stories for free. Kudos to Mr. Hobbes on another well-crafted short story.

Predictable
Story feels very obvious from early. Taking a lot of elements from The Lottery, The Hour of the Time is predictable and doesn't do anything to stand out.
