    telomerase coverage short but interesting

I was looking for some titles that discuss telomerase and found this one. Telomerase, called the immortality enzyme by Dr Minton and the immortality factor by another author, has been in the news recently, but try to find a book about it that is not a "lab manual". I found the chapter in this book on telomerase to be informative, but having been published ten years back, is now not nearly as thorough as I hoped. The rest of the book discussed other topics, for the most part. Things of interest, but not much else on telomerase in the rest of the book.

Following the outline suggested by BN- most of the book is well researched and there are references; for the most part, the topics are clearly presented; I learned a few new things about telomerase and a lot of things I did not know, and many that I had never even heard of before, on other topics that are related to natural health and longevity.

    very readble

This book made some very tough concepts easy to understand. Dr. Minton took complex scientific ideas and made them understandable in this very readable book. I was especially intrigued by his discussions of the various theories of aging, and his own ideas concerning aging and its' relationship to diseases such as cancer.

    covers many topics

The members of my family each have different health concerns, and were looking for a book that could give us the latest information on many issues. This book answers many questions on various topics in simple language.
