Fast-Paced and Entertaining ....
... but it could have been a bit longer. The magical society described by Bachar soudns fascinating, but, as the reader, I have no idea if magic is well-known in this universe or practiced by only a few; the entire story takes place over only a couple of days on one country estate. The characters are a lot of fun, especially Emily; but there was virtually no development of the villain's character; I never got a clear sense of his motivations. Still, this is an interesting world, and I hope that Bachar returns to it in future stories. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
