Imus has the best taste in music!! In watching his show on MSNBC he intoduced Levon Helm & Delbert McClinton and frequently played Lucinda Williams. The rest of the CD speaks for itself...great choice!!
Lucinda Williams sounds like she got up, still hungover, dressed in a bathrobe and headed to the studio before she had some coffee. THAT is how bad her version of " Mamas Don't let..." is. The rest of the album is hit or miss depending on how much one liked the original version, or the artist singing the version on the CD. However, it's all for a good cause, so buy the CD, especially for Delbert McClinton adn Little Richard.
