Good Read and The Usual Typos

Good engrossing story. Unhappy with the typos, page 442 has the wrong names for two of the characters. What I find so interesting is when I read reviews for other Mayer books they document the same complaint. Have to wonder what is wrong with the publisher...

OK Story but not great writing nor a credible plot.

This is an OK book to read on a long air flight. It's 800 pages or so of a story line that is now fairly common (Think the movie plot of National Treasure.) The characters are a little hokey, but on that airline flight, you can always quit and take a nap.

The editing is poor. At one point -- an action-filled one -- two or three new characters are suddenly inserted and then disappear. This will keep you hopping back and forth in the narrative a few times!

    Good Story

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Great story, suspenseful, historical, continued to turn the page.

I would have given it four stars but the proof-reading and editing was surely lacking. Some typos, grammatical errors, and even words left out made it quite frustrating.

Mr. Mayer - before your next publication comes out, please demand that is is proofed to the fullest extent.

Looking forward to the next in this new series.

Pretty good thriller a la DaVinci Code

Good pacing and a fun story. Wish there were less of an agenda and better editing.
Not recommended for book clubs, but for an escapism type of read it's just fine.
