The Journey

Superb bi-cultural investigation

The Journey is a beautifully written novel, with magical and whimsical prose. Ms. Ganesan creates a rather spell binding voyage of a teenage girl, Renu, who loses her "twin" cousin, to a tragic accident. Ms. Ganesan's writing style dramaticlly illustates Renu's personal conflicts with her cousin's death, her immediate family and her hertitage. Ms. Ganesan captures the unique personal feelings of all her charaters and displays thier lives in an organized and spritual fashion, as she intertlocks thier personalities to the protaganist, Renu. I look forward to reading her other novel, Inheritance. Excellant book!
