Great Book, Unforgettable Characters, A very enjoyable read.

I never expected such a splendid read from a first time author. I would rank this book right up there with the best sellers. The characters are very human yet unique and unforgettable. The plot and action keep you turning the pages, and the philosophical musings make you think. I had a hard time putting this one down at times and I would recommend "The Kitten Burglar to anyone who enjoys a good read. I especially loved the characters in this book and hope to see John Burnham create more of his magic with a sequel or perhaps even a series.

    Great Book!

This is a great book with interesting characters and an exciting plot! The characters are developed slowly and fully, and you will get to love these unique and enduring personalities. The women are strong characters and men are realistically portrayed. Kitten is the young and vivacious cat burglar, Garth is perfect black cop - tough but tender, Roz is the logical, scientific philospher in a luscious woman's body! These are characters that you grow to care about and will remember forever! There is lots of great dialogue, fine writing style, exciting crime action and memorable love interests.

There is lots of ideas and great characters to discuss with your friends and book club. I can't wait to read for John Burnham's next novel.

The Kitten Burglar is a refreshing, creative mystery with no explicit, graphic sex or violence. Thank goodness! Instead, it is a thought-provoking story about decency, honor and ideals versus amorality. It is a descriptive, detailed, methodical suspense story that doesn't need wild car chases and random body parts to keep your attention.

Throughout the story, a tapestry of colorful, interesting, and compelling personalities is woven. Well-developed characters have street smarts as well as intellectual insights. Women are not helpless victims but smart and capable individuals. Men have hidden strengths that rise to any challenge. Mob members demonstrate contradictory behaviors. Their lives intertwine in surprising ways as they follow a maze of clues leading to despicable crimes.

"The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination." Don Williams, Jr. (American Novelist and Poet, b.1968)

John Burnham has taken us on quite a journey.
