I have not been that fond of the Neverwinter saga, but The Last Threshold was better than the others, in spite of the ending.

The upcoming Sundering, from my understanding, is the return of the dead gods, and Ao putting all of the gods in their place and putting an end to their squabbling. I'm a fan of the gods, so I'm both nervous and excited about it. The next book in the Drizzt saga, the Companions, is the first in the Sundering series. They will be by different authors and featuring different characters, so new, and some we have seen from previous books. The Sundering will be taking place in 1486, and TLT ends two years before. The 18 year sleep Drizzt and the others experienced in the enchanted forest was probably Salvatore's way of "catching up" and getting prepared for the next book. From my understanding, it was all intentional on his part, but it did feel rushed.

*spoilers*
I found out about Drizzt's death prior to actually reading the book, but my throat still tightened a little. It was kind of bittersweet, because he was reunited with Catti-brie, so that made me happy, but the mournful cry of Guen as Drizzt breathed his last was heart-wrenching. I hope this isn't the last of the beloved panther. And this may seem irrelevant, but I would like to see Zaknafein, Drizzt's father, appear again. In Passage to Dawn, he appeared to Drizzt and told him his spirit was in a good place, and promised they would meet again. I hope Salvatore remembers this. I found out his soul was in the Green Fields, which is indeed a good place, but it is the halfling realm, which doesn't make sense for Zak. Perhaps Salvatore mistook it for Mielikki's realm? Still, the goddess does gift Drizzt, so hopefully they will be united. I admit, I am a sap, and I like happy endings (though I don't like all rainbows and butterflies). Surely, though, if Drizzt is reunited with the others, he should be reunited with Zak, too? I'm crossing my fingers. Please, please?

The intrigue about the gods was, well, intriguing. There was much speculation of whether Drizzt was a Chosen of Lolth or Mielikki. Perhaps the 18 year sleep was the forest goddess' way of hiding Drizzt from the eyes of the Spider Queen? Perhaps Drizzt will undergo apotheosis like Shevarash did and become some sort of demi-god? I was hoping Paul S. Kemp's Godborn would be first in the Sundering novels, but after reading LTL, I'm glad it's the Companions instead!

His books seem to be getting worse. The story itself seemed to lack "heart" for lack of a better description. Also there was a lot of different plots that seem to contribute little, if anything, to the main storyline. Also, the ending sucked. They wander off and fall asleep for eighteen years. Why? What was the point? Then after being attacked by his ex lover who apparently has not been redeemed in any way, despite signs to the contrary. He is whisked away, with no indication of how, to a rock I thought was destroyed in a previous book. Where he dies? Maybe? I found this book very disappointing and wish I had followed my initial impulse not to buy it. After all the last several books were not that great.

Star Wars: Last of the Old.

The year: Approximately 35-40 years before the Phantom Menace, during the fall of the Old Republic.

The story: The Old Republic was once a prosperous place, a peaceful alliance of the majority of alien races in the Galaxy. It was centered on Coruscant. However, the Dark Side has been growing in power, and Master Yoda fears that soon, a new league of Dark Jedi, or Sith as they are commonly known, will rise up again. He is not sure where this fear has come from, for the Dark Jedi follow the ancient Rule of Two. But a lot more than two Dark Jedi have been seen around the Galaxy, or rumored about. The Jedi Order has, as such, begun recruiting any willing individual, whether Jedi, Soldier, or something else, to form a special force to eliminate the Dark Jedi. But Yoda fears that they are taking the wrong path....

The Rules: You may roleplay as a Jedi, whether Padawan, Knight, or Master. You can also be a Soldier in the Republic's forces, called off duty to join this team. Or maybe you're someone.. Darker. One of the new Dark Jedi, perhaps. Or a Bounty Hunter. Something else? Up to you.
Bios are in fourth result, main roleplay is in the third. The results may switch around a bit, so keep that in mind.

Note: I based this on something that I made entirely, so don't go off spurting nonsense like "it has nothing to do with the movies!" That's because it doesn't. -_-. Anyways, have fun, and play fair!

    Powerful

True to RA Salvatore and all that is Drizzt this novel is everything it should have been. Never dull and always leave you wondering what next you'll burn through the pages. True fans may want a box of cleanexs at hand for the conclusion.

    another great novel

I am quite pissed @ the author!!!! he seems to have taken the last of the Companion's of the Hall. I emphasize the word 'seems' for I hope that it isn't the end. RA, once again did an awesome job of telling the story and looking back he left very obvious clues as to the ending. but I was getting into the new group. I thought they would've worked well together. oh well

The whole series was very well written. I am a big fan. I cried at the end and was very glad to see a new series starting in August.
