Practical, informative, sturdy, well-bound little carry along guide to Rome.
The "Little Black Book of Rome" is exactly that. It is a small (approx. 4" x 6") hard cover spiral-bound handbook perfect for taking along on a trip to Rome for someone who is not thoroughly familiar with the city. It provides quite thorough, up-to-date information on money-changing, cultural etiquette, transportation, obtaining tickets to museums etc., as well as good information on hotels, restaurants, nightlife, historical and architectural points of interest. The author, who has written for other highly regarded travel publications, divides the city into 8 regions or clusters of neighborhoods and then covers each region or cluster in a separate chapter citing places to see, eat and drink, shop, and stay in each. The book will fit easily into a shoulder bag, purse or jacket pocket, and is very sturdily bound and constructed. In short, it is a perfect carry-along self-tour guide. . . . which is why I bought it!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
