    Best Books Ever

The Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit are the best books I've ever read. Anyone that doesn't listen or read these books is missing out

Excellent Adaptation of the Hobbit & Lord of the Rings

Excellent Adaptation of the Hobbit & Lord of the Rings; however, this is not a "word for word" narration, like books-on-tape. Unlike the current movie adaptions, these CDs follow the books with a cast of voices and sound effects. I highly recommend these CDs for listening at home or in the car. My kids have enjoyed the CDs, books, & movies and always point out, "hey! that's not in the movie!" As an Inkling with C.S Lewis at Oxford, Tolkien paints classic tales of good verses evil, where good evidently wins in end. These are great for family reading. However, I recommend that adults read them first and understand them so they can interpret them to their kids. For Christians, I recommend "Finding God in the Lord of the Rings hardback:ISBN 0842355715) by Kurt Bruner. Like C.S. Lewis, Tolkien was a Christian before he was a professor & writer so his writings are from a Christian perspective even though he used ancient mythology to write these classics. Historical Fiction books by George Alfred Henty are also highly recommended.
