a masterpiece for gay studies
The work which Jennings has done in this book 'the man jesus loved' remines me of the hermeneutical work of 'sister in the wilderness' by williams at union theological seminary. This book also has paid careful attentions to the biblical texts that enables to liberate our body and eros, which has been suppressed by dominant church discourses that has been planted in our mind. I encourage every seminarian not only to read this book carefully but also for every gays and lesbians who have been battered by dominant stream of christian discourses to read this book in order to celebrate their sexual practices.
