This book is the second in a western series written about four Texas siblings. Love the premise of the series -- the four Cahills believe their parents' deaths were an accident, then learn this is not the case. Each book tells the story of one sibling and the part they play in solving the mystery of what happened to their parents. All are distinctive, well-drawn characters. Sheriff Bowie Cahill is the hero of The Marshal and Miss Merritt and I loved him! Miss Merritt is spunky and fun, and determined not to become involved with a lawman. The other books are The Lone Rancher, Scandal at the Cahill Saloon and The Last Cahill Cowboy. I enjoyed them all and hope you will as well. :)

    Great book

This book is the second in a series of four written by several different authors. I loved the first book The Lone Rancher and am a fan of Carol Finch so I was a little leary of a new author taking the second book but Debra DOES NOT disappoint. Neither do the other ladies who colaborted on this series, Carol Arens and Jenna Kernan. Bowie is coming home in more ways than one and finds so much more than he ever imagined. Hope you enjoy as much as I did!
