    I Also Recommend:

If you know nothing about the Mayas, this is the book read. It will enhance you perception of who they were. Simply amazing

I found this book extremely informative. The Mayas were so advanced in Astromony that there are things about time that we do not know even with the technology our modern societes have developed. This books shows in written detail, drawings and pictures of the Mayas advanced Calendars - they used three - ; however, it is puzzling why they were still barbarians and savages, not any different from other cultures.
This book is an eye opener because it generally believed that the Egyptians were so advanced, while we have here in the Americas the greatest culture that ever existed, perhaps and may dare to say more advanced than the Egytians.
We are just starting to scracth the surface of how knowlegdeable the Mayas were. Is is too bad the Spaniards destroyed priceless and valuable ancient writing, otherwise we would know so much more.
Great book, I highly recommend it.
