Great for Reading Together
My 4 year-old loves this book. One by one the woodland animals snuggle into a boy's lost mitten to keep warm until the tiniest mouse comes along. It's a great book to read aloud together. Some of the verse repeats as each animal comes along giving us the opportunity to "read" the story together.

There's always room for one more...
This is a story of reluctant friendships. It's cold outside and when you've been cold yourself how can you possibly allow someone else to freeze. The woodland animals and the mitten stretch and tuck, and stretch and tuck, and cuddle and warm each other until.... It's a fun story with beautiful illustrations beginning with a boy and a lost mitten. A good read for a quiet, cold winter afternoon.
