    What You Need To Know

The Music of The Wild West was conceived by Producer John McEuen (The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and “Will The Circle Be Unbroken” album) as the soundtrack to the critically acclaimed 1993 ten-hour epic television mini- series The Wild West, a film documentary that chronicles the Old West from 1866 to 1896. • This album includes rarely found American classics from the late 1800s through the early 1900s, like “Shenandoah,” “Barbara Allen,” “Home On The Range,” and “Yellow Rose Of Texas,” all recorded with instruments of the period and including the original lyrics. • The artists brought together for this album include some of the best in Country and Cowboy/Western music, including Crystal Gayle, Gary Morris, Michael Martin Murphey, Don Edwards, Marty Stuart, Lyle Lovett, Mary MacGregor, Red Stegall, and Rodney and Beverly Dillard. • Any fan of the “Old West” will love this album because it will take you back musically to what the pioneers experienced, capturing an era everyone loves to emulate.
