For experienced knitter's ONLY
I would only recommend this book to a knitter who feels they are VERY experienced. This book is way beyond my knitting capabilities. I do not make knitted clothing so it talks of things I know nothing about.
In reading through it, I understand that it would be very helpful to someone who knits sweaters, vests or coats as it goes into details regarding body measurements and contains a blank pattern worksheet for helping the knitter remember all the numbers needed to fit a garment properly. It also tells you how to figure out what size you are and a yardage chart for the yarn needed.
There is a section on gauge which is important for making sure your garment fits. There is even a section on custom knits which show you different stitch types. The final section is how to work with a template and then the templates themselves.
Don't forget, this book is spiral bound so you can lay it open without having to use a paperweight to keep it open or worse yet, break the binding. All in all, it is a very comprehensive book but only for those whose skills are advanced enough to create garments.
