    MUST HAVE

As a first and second grade teacher I always read this book to my children. Every class has loved it. It is magical with rich vocabulary, imaginative story, and beautiful expression. Novelist/poet X.J. Kennedy has written a classic!

    Favorite Book of my Childhood

I cannot tell you how many times I read this book growing up. It was always such a favorite of mine - these two children being transported to a magical world where they must rescue their grandparents from an evil dictator. Simply marvelous - buy it for the bright gem of a child in your own life!

Fantastic Story Should Not Be Forgotten

The Owlstone Crown by X. J. Kennedy is one of my favorite books ever. It is about a brother and sister (twins), Timothy and Verity, that are orphans. One day, a messenger comes to them to tell them that their beloved grandparents are still alive... and in another world! Against the ladybug's wishes, Timothy and Verity decide to follow the ladybug back to his world to find their grandparents. They are transported to a once-beautiful place that has turned ugly by a power seeking dictator. Timothy and Verity find adventure, friends, the beauty that was once the land of Mossflower, and the courage to change a muck-infested world... This book is incredible.
