    Great for beginners.

The deck is useful for a beginner. The illustrations and description of the movements are precise, but the difficulty level is clearly for beginners. The hardest movement in this deck, if I remember correctly, was a modified teaser. If you have already mastered this exercise, then this deck may be too easy for you.

    Clear, consise, easy to follow

I love the format of the deck, I can work on each pose individually until I am comfortable with it. Easy to take anywhere, even the gym for when I am finished with my weight and running workouts.

    Pilates Deck a terrific resource!

In a world or bookshelves overstuffed with Pilates tomes, Shirley Archer's Pilates Deck stands out as one of the best resources I've come across. The Deck has everything the beginning pilates student needs to get started yet it also manages to be an excellent guide/resource for the more advanced pilates practitioner. I keep The Pilates Deck in my gym bag for reference and I regularly recommend it to my pilates students. The illustrations are simple and show clearly the correct body positioning for each exercise.I also love the fact that the author includes detailed instructions on a series of stretching exercises, so often forgotten in most exercise routines. In short, you could not go wrong purchasing The Pilates Deck either for yourself or as a gift.
