Fantastic Drug Handbook!
This is a wonderful book. It's the PDR (Physician's Desk Reference) for cats and dogs, but it's written in easy-to-understand lay terminology. This book contains information about nearly every medication that can be dispensed to our canine and feline companions, including OTC medications and prescribed medications. Many of the drugs humans take can also be dispensed to our cats and dogs. Not only does this book provide the reader with both the common and generic names of the medication, but it's also easy to read/understand/access and includes the following: dosage information (including dosages for puppies/kittens and for seniors); potential food and/or drug interactions; overdosage information; general information about each medication; and warnings/cautions. I've had this book for a few years (it was published in 1998) and have found it indispensable. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This book is a really great source of information. Most drugs prescribed by veterinarians do not come with explicit information on side effects, drug and food interactions... For me, this book has been a great reference. The reader can look up drugs by name or category. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
