Mean girl vs. princess vs. the witch who turned a prince into a frog. Penny could have made it through high school without the help of black magic, but where's the fun in that? Witches make things messy. They're tricky and can get really ugly when they're mad. Penny, unfortunately, went shopping to the wrong place and pissed off the wrong person.
Her plan to get revenge rebounded.
So in my review of 8: The Previously Untold Story of the Previously Unknown 8th Dwarf I'd rambled on about how much fun it was and how much the writing resembled Dr.Seuss's and how I read it all in one go because it was really cool.
Yeah, this was no different.
The Plight and Plot of Princess Penny is hilariously cute. It's the plan of revenge that goes wrong and ends up with a happily ever after... or not? (dun, dun, duuuuuun)
Penny wants to humiliate the mean girl at her school for picking on her all the time, so when she finds an witch's ad on a magazine for potions Penny takes the opportunity and visits the witch's cottage... in the dark forest... across a rickety old bridge... where she meets a nosy troll by the name of Jink.
It's a lot more cuter than 8, but just as awesome. The story itself is pretty predictable, but it's fun to read and reread and rereread
I recommend this one just as highly as I recommend 8. They're both great short poems!
