Therapist's tool for building hope and resiliency
The authors have done a good job combining the psychological theory history of related topics such as attachment and resiliency and then providing tools and methods to incorporate into daily therapy with clients. Although clients may find it too technical, even the beginning therapist will be able to find new ideas to use in building a more positive view of change with their clients. In addition, it offers a simple "hope checklist" that allows one to evaluate where weaknesses in one's own life are that are impacting their level of hope for the future. A simple concept that of hope, and the authors have added some very good tools for implementing the concept with others. Those who have enjoyed the work of Virginia Satir will also enjoy the book.
