Think Small and Succeed
Could there be a better time for this book? Seriously with the economic downturn we're ALL looking for some inspiration, but we're also all looking for things we can do to succeed in these trying times. This book is a great read for both. Plus it is a VERY QUICK and EASY read. The book is divided into short chapters and is filled with useful and captivating anecdotes that are used to elucidate the authors point. I truly think this book is a must read for anyone - from professional working men and women to young boys and girls.

Small is the new Big
When all of us are cutting back and facing real hardships, there couldn't be a more relevant book for today's times. In The Power of Small, Koval and Kaplan explain that the key to getting through the tough times and achieving your biggest goals is to start small. I've always ascribed to the "think big" philosophy and have often said that I was a big picture person and not detail oriented. But, after reading this book, I've decided to reevaluate my own M.O. and start thinking small.

Great book
I finished reading "The tipping point" and "Getting Things Done" before I started this book and the more I read the more I felt it supported the opinions on the other books. It helped me strengthen my thoughts about the things I have to change in my life and gave great examples. Definitely recommended

interesting book
puts a new perspective on how to look at the small things, and not to sweat the small stuff. Everything begins with the first step, the book taught me to look at the first step, not the whole problem, start with the small step.

packs a surprising punch
This little book about the power of positive thinking is a surprisingly impactful piece of work. Long after I'd read it, I found myself noticing daily interactions in new ways. Why do pro bono work? Why give someone else the parking spot? Why spend extra money on a special gift for someone who put themselves out for you?

The Power of Small is, in a way, a book about the Golden Rule (do unto others as you'd have others do unto you) applied to the business world.
Highly recommended for today's business (and personal) climate!

Small Power
I'm not usually a fan of self-help "motivating books" (usually you can be more productive if you took the motivation you had for reading and turn into real world work) but there's a lot more to this book than a tight and breezy text.

This isn't a book that demands you "do this" or "stop being this person and be more like, say, Donald Trump." The authors use anecdotes, memorable ones at that, to show you why other people are getting ahead of you and capturing the imagination, heart, and wallets of others in business. There's too much focus on the big prizes and not even focus on the core parts of our lives that matter.
But the best part of the book is the well-maintained blog. It's been helpful since the economic downturn, especially. -

Small Read Big Help!
This book is great! It makes so many of life's quandries and big decisions simple instead of overwhelming. There are tips on lots of different topics but they have all been helpful in many ways. I've found it particularly good for my diet and my job search! A few pounds down and two weeks into a new job!

Will make you wish for time travel for books
I'm not sure what drew me to this book initially. I've been on a fiction kick lately, but something about this book called out to me - maybe because of my burgeoning skepticism of "too big to fail" and the giant bailout, so I pre-ordered it. "The Power of Small" has nothing to do with the crash and recession per se, but the ideas in this book could have helped to prevent the trouble we're in now. It's all about looking at the little details, and not getting bogged down with the big picture. It's a dose of sanity in an insane world, like Malcolm Gladwell, but with a heart. I wish I could recommend this for you to read a year or two ago, but since it didn't exist then, I recommend it now. It's just as necessary today.
