THE UNBROKEN CIRCLE REMAINS!!! It's alive and well in the Johnson home. Gabrielle is carrying all the pain that her young mind can hold and she is about to blow up. It's hard too feel totally bad for Gabrielle because of her blatant disrepect to her mother but pain maniifests in many different ways. I feel her pain actually. We all would like young adults to listen more but they have to take their own path. Martha is to me is like putty, right now she can be molded, it all depends on who is doing the molding. But still refusing to come to terms with her Mother is holding her back. Gabrielle's demeanor towards her mother is hurtful to Martha but not justified because she's had time to heal and it seems she in love with being a victim of her mother's treatment years ago. I enjoyed delving into Gabrielle's young life to really understand why she is so much like her mother. This book uses Gabrielle to help young folk understand that there is power in forgiving past transgressions. I have taken a lot from these first two books and look forward to seeing a Gabrielle that can live a full and successful life like her older sisters. But, tragedy strikes this family again and at the end of this book, I am reminded that LWC isn't done with the Johnson family just yet. This one could prove to be the straw that breaks the camel's back. JUST SIMPLY WOW!!!
