Wonderful!

The plot brings you in and time flies by. Had to go get the 2nd and 3rd book. Must read.

There's little more disappointing than getting sucked into a good story that suffers from poor story-telling. This author could benefit from basic English grammar skills (someone is "used to" not "use to," proper use of homonyms & commas, and so on), as well as participation in creative writing groups where other aspiring writers can give helpful feedback. I would love to see more prosaic wording used, rather than cliched phrases. That works in conversation & is great for characters but the narrator should speak in a more thought-provoking & original voice. If the main characters are 16 years old, the narrator should not sound like a 16 year old (unless using 1st person POV).

Personally, although most descriptions were clear and easy to visualize, sometimes it felt like too much (the visuals associated with the opening fight scene were a bit gruesome for me, though it was well done). I would have preferred more story & less description of minor characters hair color, clothes, and such, and interior decorating which did little to progress the story.

I hesitate to recommend this book because if, like me, you are distracted by poor grammar & spelling, it will interfere with your enjoyment of the story. I think the author has potential but I don't think this is a particularly strong indication of that. I don't want to read the sequel because I suspect more of the same. Perhaps I can find something written later, after this author has gained some writing experience & has improved.

About as close to a Sailor Moon ripoff as you can legally get. I

About as close to a Sailor Moon ripoff as you can legally get. If you've never heard of/watched/read Sailor Moon then you'd probably enjoy the book. If you have then you will most likely find it an annoyance.
