This is a story worth the read, filled with many cool characters, fantastical creatures, and thrilling adventures. It has a very interesting premise and plot, although the plot turned a bit slow some times.

I definitely recommend this book to readers of all ages who really enjoy fantasy stories that take readers to magical places.

Children and adults will love this book in which they will discover a new world that, according to a legend, was written in another world. A young elf named Atrelis has to protect a magic amulet from an evil wizard, and as he tries to take it to its guardian (the Kimeiji) he reaches fantastical places like a magical tower, a cave full of mischiveous goblins, and a flying castle, among many, many others. The book is easy to read and I found it hard to put it down. My mom and I can't wait to read the sequel!

    This is a great book.

I was hooked from page one. All throughout the book I kept thinking: "How did this guy come up with these things?!" It's fascinating. One surprise after another, with a main character, Atrelis, whom you'll like from the beginning. Magic, night fairies, star dragons, talking elks, action sequences, cliffhangers at the end of chapters... The book is meant to be fiction for children, but I'm almost 30 (God, already?) and I really, really enjoyed it and I'm already looking forward to the second part of the trilogy. I will definitely be recommending this book to friends and family.

Two Thumbs Up for Francisco Muñiz!

My daughter and I bought this book after we saw the author's presentation at BORDERS, Carolina, PR, and we were fascinated--not only by the story and the premise of the book--but also by the way the author used the book and his experience writing it to motivate younger readers into reading and into writing creatively.

I recommend THE QUEST FOR THE LAST KIMEIJI to all young readers who love fast-paced fantasy stories because it has so many great adventures and challenges for the main character it is not easy to put down. There are also a lot of fantastical creatures like a talking blue elk, an old satyr, and a clan of mischiveous goblins, among many others. The narrative is simple, and although the plot may seem a bit familiar to those of other stories, it has many unpredictable turns and surprises (especially in the climax) that will definitely keep you wanting to read more.

Oh! And the author revealed that there is a sequel on the way! Visit to find out more.

Buy the book and I hope you enjoy it!
