The Risen: Books 1-4 brings together the first four books in the incredibly entertaining series Risen.

Author Marie F. Crow has created a world where danger lurks all around you as the dead have risen. Helena Hawthorn is a strong character fighting for her family against difficult odds. Throughout the series we see Helena’s character grow and adapt to the world they now live in all the while gaining strength and heartache.

Crow’s Risen is a thrilling series that brings characters and situations fully to life. Her grasp of this genre is remarkable. The series evolves as it continues on adding further depth to the story. This is much more than a typical zombie apocalypse. This is a story of love, family, survival, strength and ingenuity while facing terrifying realities. It is everything a great story should be. I highly recommend it!

As I mentioned in my review of Marie F Crow¿s ¿The Risen: Dawnin

As I mentioned in my review of Marie F Crow’s “The Risen: Dawning, Anniversary Edition”, her storytelling technique is simply unmatched in the zombie books genre.

Unfortunately, most zombie book authors tend to overemphasize the blood and gore while not taking enough time to thoroughly develop the characters and the storyline. Thankfully, Crow’s incredible blend of vivid imagery, provocative social scenarios, and subtle, but terrifying horror sequences sets her writing apart from that of her peers.

My favorite book in this collection is “The Risen: Margaret.” Will that book be your favorite book as well? I don’t know. But I can guarantee that you will enjoy reading this incredibly entertaining anthology.
