In-depth search of the inner feelings of an abused child with the strength to overcome adversity. Gave me much to think about about my own life.
I wasn't expecting the deep thinking and harsh reality of this story. The writer tells a story of an abused child abandoned by her family and how she found an inner strength to overcome all adversity. Very inspiring.

Mystical and real
Yes, I wrote it - but I notice there is NO information about it - so please let me tell you a little bit about my little book.

It is about a journey. A journey up a river on a kayak - replete with encounters with wildlife and water, nature and fey folk. It's also a journey through a life. Reflections on her past both deep and recent as Melanie ponders on what brought her to this point in her life and considers what her future may hold. It is a story of victory over abuse, homelessness, and lonliness through independence, and love.
I hope it makes you think, gives you hope, and fills you once or twice with a sense of wonder at the world of nature, and human nature.
