A moving and exciting adventure into the world of the Apostles.

This book contains fascinating untold histories and activities of the 12 disciples, as well as other apostles that were not the of the 12. There were some parts that were a little over my head, but I was reading the book in conjunction with a sermon series at my church and I found the information a helpful and interesting addition to the sermon material.

Meet the Twelve and others of the Early Christian Era

This book is just what every Christian who is even a bit curious as to what happened to the Twelve Apostles, after the Resurrection of Christ, might enjoy. A nice section is also devoted to the lives of some 'other' apostles, such as, Matthias, St. Paul, St. Luke and others. McBirnie does a great research service to all of us, by recording not only what is believed to be 'historical', but also the various 'traditions' and even what might be termed 'legends', and then leaves it to the reader to decide. A nice piece of work! This small and inexpensive edition is well worth the ticket to enter, to sift the gold from its leaves. A nice bibliography enables the reader to continue this study beyond the scope of this 'popular' book, if one wishes to delve even further into the lives of these most important figures of Early Christianity. Go and get it!!!!!
