Finally, an interpretation we can accept!

This is a fascinating study of Genesis as mythology. It describes a hero's journey to full awareness in which Adam fulfills four directives in order to integrate the brain by recognizing and activating Eve's enormous fertility. The premise states that the original meaning of Genesis is to promote wholeness in a psyche ravaged by patriarchy. Adam is the patriarchal intellect who cannot find, recognize, or name his feminine partner, represented today by an almost total lack of awareness and appreciation for the feminine functions of the psyche. The author's information is based on her study of the ancient Qabalah, which is also related to the western alphabet. The book has an appendix which clarifies this. There's a lot of information here. You will probably need a few reads to absorb it. But the writing is clear, precise and engaging. A second, third or fourth reading is just as powerful as the first. This is one of those rare books that becomes a teacher.
