Okay read

This was too wordy. Didn't feel emotions of characters in the story. For a short story of around 115 pages, took longer to read. Some of the unfamiliar words used weren't in my ebook dictionary.

    Good Story

A good read but was disappointed that it was only a little over 130 pages.

Good story, well written, fine book! Set among the high society

Good story, well written, fine book! Set among the high society of England around 1830, it tells the story of two confirmed singles who set about bringing down an unknown blackmailer who preys on her friends. Tabitha, past the date that makes her a spinster, thinks all men are offal; Sebastian, a scholar, must get married to keep his family's fortune from going to a useless cousin, but thinks all the girls he's seen are nothing but empty-headed chits. Working together to discover and bring the culprit to justice, however, each finds the other nothing like either expected. Maybe, just possibly, things are better than they thought. Anyone who enjoys reading about romance in 19th century England will find this novella a pleasure.

    Cute story

I think the author did a good job in creating a relatively strong, and independent female character. The story plot is interesting, and the romance is cute. The book seems to be over quicker than I would like. But definitely worth reading.
