THE SEERS is the sequel novel to Julianna Scott¿s THE HOLDERS.

THE SEERS is the sequel novel to Julianna Scott’s THE HOLDERS. Okay, with that said, I have to say sequel books are like sequel movies to me; they sometimes have a hard time living up to the greatness of the first or original. But that's not the case with Scott's THE SEERS. I love it! Scott nailed this follow-up. The storyline got deeper, the plot thickens, and the characters are even more lovable. THE SEERS is awesome, and I loved this second book more than the first book, if that’s possible.

Scott took the Holders’ storyline to a more mature level. I would say it's more of an Upper YA or light New Adult. I loved Becca, Alex and Chloe in the first book. They are awesome characters, but Scott allows them to mature here, their personalities grow, and she brings in two new awesome characters. Well actually, twin brothers that won my heart... Bastian and Steven. They not only won my heart, but Chloe's, too. Becca is still my favorite sarcastic, sassy-mouthed, tough girl, and we see her really grow up, even her language becomes more mature, and she had me laughing so much with her sharp tongue. Scott also ratchets up the romance with Becca and Alex. Becca is definitely ready to go to the next, NEXT level with Alex. And notice that I said next, next level. Yep, Becca doesn't need that second base in her and Alex’s relationship. Becca just wants to skip that second base and is ready for home plate. Like I said, I love Becca and her tough girl, in-your-face attitude.

Now I want to get into the two new Holders, the twin brothers, Bastian and Steven. Love these guys. I think Steven is my favorite, but Bastian was right there with his brother. Where Alex is more quiet and sensitive, Bastian is cocky and a little bit crude. Becca and Bastian are definitely two of a kind and the banter between these two was hilarious.

THE SEERS is one sequel that readers are going to love just as much as the first book in the Holders series. I highly recommend it!
