doesn’t always work that way.”
The Spirit Bridge, page 19
Scripture teaches time and again that when we are at our weakest, then we are strong. Because it is in those
moments of absolute surrender that the King of the universe can fully have His way with us.
What is left unsaid, or is at least tacitly ignored, is the converse of that statement; “When I am strong – in my
own strength, in my own will, in my own agenda – that is when I am at my most vulnerable.” And that “strength”
usually arrives at the awards ceremony. You know, when you’ve beaten the competition, when you’ve reached
(exceeded?) your goal, when you’ve crossed the final hurdle and are basking in the warmth of well-wishers
The Warriors Riding are indeed, riding – riding the crest of the latest success in their spiritual battles. Yet, as
in all types of warfare, there are casualties. The Song, Brandon Scott, sacrificed his most powerful, most
personal part of his being – his voice – for The Leader. Now, with nothing to sing about, he is on the ropes.
And on the edge of returning his Membership Card for The Warriors Riding. However, The Temple – Reece
Roth – has discerned that The Song is critical in the next spiritual engagement. He just hasn’t discerned
whether Brandon will ever return.
The street-magician Simon is racing to remember his past before his ignorance obliterates his destiny. And
Miyo, a brash young warrior with advanced knowledge of spiritual realities and supernatural armor even Reece
doesn’t know about, will be pivotal in the final war against The Warriors Riding.
If only the Warriors knew which side Simon and Miyo were truly on.
Probably the only draw-back with this book is, with so many references and nuances to the previous two books,
it’s difficult to promote it as “stand-alone.” That having been said, James Rubart has crafted a series on
spiritual warfare that is so mesmerizing, and yet so authentic in its scriptural basis, that you should really
desire to obtain the complete series. With a Study Guide at the end of the book to launch small-group
discussion, the conclusion of The Well Spring Series takes the reader deeper yet into an understanding of The
Enemy, and echoes again the words of the powerful hymn by Martin Luther:
The prince of Darkness grim,
We tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure,
For lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.
5 stars for a message that needs to be heard by James L. Rubart

From the back cover: The warriors riding have battled in astounding supernatural realms. Set captives free. And awakened thousands of hearts. But now their only chance of survival depends on calling forth the spirit bridge.
Reece, Dana, Brandon, and Marcus have achieved staggering success in spiritual realms . . . but each is reeling from recent vicious attacks. They need rest. A break from the war.
But the warlord Zennon is raging and will give them no quarter. The demon holds what he believes is a trump card—a hidden strategy set in motion before the Warriors Riding even began—that will detonate the team from the inside out. And he’s just set it loose.
The street-magician Simon—finally free of Zennon’s alternate-reality prison—is racing to remember his past before his ignorance obliterates his destiny. Then there’s Miyo, a brash young warrior with advanced knowledge of spiritual realities and supernatural armor even Reece doesn’t know about. They will be pivotal in the final war against the Warriors Riding.
If only the Warriors knew which side Simon and Miyo are truly on.
Spirit Bridge is the epic conclusion to acclaimed author James L. Rubart’s Well Spring series, which will propel each of the Warriors Riding on a quest of true identity, ultimate freedom, and a final battle that will leave them changed forever.
The war isn’t over yet! The battle rages on! Our band of warriors is tired and they need rest and time to heal but there isn’t any. The first two books in this series have been terrific however I think this is Mr. Rubart at his very finest. Good versus evil, the angelic host and opposed to them, of course, are the demonic host. For the Warriors Riding to lose the cost would be staggering. “Spirit Bridge” is a very exciting book. One that will keep you flipping pages trying to find out what will happen next just as fast as you can read and flip. Everything is Biblical and Mr. Rubart is at the top of his game with his writing. “Spirit Bridge” will keep you asking questions, once you get the answer to one question it leads you to another and then another. This is an adrenaline laced adventure story. The characters are extraordinary and well written and you get involved with every one of them. This is a just plain fun, exciting story that entertains as well as makes us think. Mr. Rubart has batted in a winner and I recommend this book highly.

has been revealed to Reece and this one may be the one that brings the world to an end. Simon’s world
is in turmoil as he struggles to find his place in the world now that he is free from the alternate-reality that
has kept him a prisoner for so long. Brandon is still confused with his direction as the Voice and his
feelings for Dana. Marcus and Dana are still exciting over their part in the success they had in the
spiritual battle against Zennon. With this new prophecy, though, things are about to change. Zennon is
raging from his most recent defeat and will stop at nothing to gain the power to defeat the Warriors. This
time, though, there is a new Warrior and they’ve never seen anything like her. Will Brandon ever get his
voice back? What is the history of Simon and how does he fit into the battle? Who is this mysterious
new Warrior and where did she come from? Run across the bridge and BUY THIS BOOK!!
I feel like saying that Jim Rubart continues to amaze me, but I feel like that would do a disservice to this
great writer. I shouldn’t be amazed that he continues to impress me or that he continues to fill my head
with great Fiction. From the first book that I read by him (“Rooms”) to this one, each one is definitely
getting better and better and cements my “Favorite Author” nomination (Yeah, yeah, it’s all in my head,
but ok since no one’s really listening). I continue to enjoy how his characters have everyday
conversations with Him, just like they are old friends. But I also love that his characters are fallible
(just like me) but are continuously loved by our Father. The story line is finally wrapped up in this final
book clearly and concise, but not to such a point that he can’t bring us a reunion book later in life (hint,
hint Mr. Rubart!)
Is this a "guy's book"? This book, this whole series, heck, anything written by Jim Rubart is a definite
“guy’s book” and should be read, reread and read again. If there are any men out there looking for a
book for their book club, this series of books is the best series to start with. The intrigue, the stress,
the spiritual battle, the fallacy of the human mind, are all wrapped up into a great book that every man

I have read wonderful reviews about the first two books in this series but it never worked out for me to get my hands on them. But that wasn’t the case with the last book in the series.
There’s so much truth in this book I can’t even begin to dive into it all. I can say if you struggle with reading fiction because you want more of a spiritual encounter then this book (and probably series) is the book you should take a chance on.
I always worry about reading a book when I haven’t read the first few in the series, and although I didn’t know everything that had happened with the characters earlier I felt I caught on easily enough and could still appreciate the book. However, it did make me hunger to read the first two books.
I could really relate to one character more than the others, Brandon. He is The Song but his voice was taken from him in the second book. He’s angry and wants to give up. I’ll be honest, I have often wondered what I would do if my ability to sing was taken away. I love leading worship, I would feel a part of me is missing.
But the Spirit has some amazing plans for Brandon’s voice and uses him in extraordinary ways that his previous voice could’ve never been used and to reach people in ways only the Spirit could reach them.
You’ll have to read the book to find out how that is done. This one is highly recommended.
A copy of this book was given to me by the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers program in exchange for an honest review.

You know you've reached a great series, when you actually take part of the novel with you in your own dreams. This is just the case with James L. Rubart's latest novel in the Well Springs Series, Spirit Bridge. This concludes the journey of the group known as the Warrior's Riding, comprised of Dana Raine, Marcus Amber, Brandon Scott, Reese Roth. Each of them have had a role to play in venturing forth in the spiritual realm to do battle with the coming evil lead by a demon called Zennon. Through each of the subsequent novels these four have had to fulfill the ancient prophecy that foretold of this battle and how each of them would be instrumental in helping to achieve success. Until that time, they have been growing in strength and wisdom guided by the Spirit of God and practicing their skills in the spiritual realm. Often times they have been called to help find healing through visiting another's soul and discovering what deep dark secret lies buried beneath that is preventing them from being all they can be.Was this review helpful? Now as they prepare for the final battle against Zennon and his demons who will hold nothing battle in their attempt to destroy the Warrior's Riding and their mission to help others know God through their ministry. This time, they feel they have the upper hand due in part to a secret weapon that will be unleashed in the midst without them knowing about it and will begin to destroy them from the inside out, much like the Trojan Horse did to Greece. Now all they have to do is be patient and wait for the signs that the warfare has been released and then they will take over the lives of the Warriors as well as those they had hoped to save.
I received Spirit Bridge by James L. Rubart compliments of Thomas Nelson Publishers for my honest review and did not receive any monetary compensation for a favorable review. The opinions expressed here are strictly my own. I have loved this series from the beginning and think that James did an exceptional job not only at character development, but in the entire concept of spiritual realm travel and warfare. To have the ability to war within the spiritual realm and to further the cause of Jesus Christ is so mind blowing, you can't help but get lost in the true meaning behind it all. There is a freedom that comes from being released from the bondage that keeps us from truly seeing what God wants us to see and know as well as the softening of the human heart towards the things of God. That is why so many remain blinded even in our world today, despite what is apparent to us as believers. 2 Corinthians 4:4 makes this point perfectly clear and thus, I believe, defines the purpose of the Warriors Riding to set unbelievers free. " "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."
I can easily give this one a 5 out of 5 stars and was my favorite novel in the entire Well Springs Novel Series. I love how James defines Simon, the street magician's role in this novel and shows just what connection he has had to the group. It also shows us how subtly the enemy can even work in the believers life to gain a foothold to cause chaos and temptation where we least expect it. I know I came away with this a whole lot stronger in my faith in Christ and the battle we all face every single day. This novel is the third and final book in the Well Springs Series and isn't designed to be read as a stand alone as James L. Rubart's previous novels have. To begin the journey, pick up Soul's Gate, then Memory's Door before concluding with Spirit Bridge. Definitely a must read for fans of spiritual warfare fiction.
