    Outstanding source for information

This is an outstanding book, clearly going through the symptoms and causes of Dissociation. If you are struggling with this or if a family member is, this book can shine a light to help find answers to a lot of your questions.

    A Must Read

Few books have left me with the feeling of concrete evidence for a subject like The Stranger In The Mirror has. I understood at last what I experienced was documented and that it held an excellent prognosis. The format and explanation of DID was very helpful. Finally, the abridged test contained was a confirmation I needed to seek professional help. I appreciate this book and author so much. Scores of people could recognize their way of coping in life by reading this book. An essential primer in the world of multiple personality disorder now called dissociation identity disorder. By any name, not a rare form of survival esp. in these times of rampent child abuse.

    Dispelling the Myths of Dissociation

No stranger to the field of dissociation, the author has conducted systematic research and written on the subject for 20 years. This book is superb, accessible for everyone, informative, and beautifully written. It unveils the mysteries of dissociation, as well as its compassionate and effective treatment. It will help the readers to view the spectrum of dissociative behaviors that are perplexing and have been dismissed or denied by some; this book offers heightened understanding without the usual overdramatization.

    The Stranger

great book that explained how to deal with dissociation and how common dissociation is for everyone. Dissociation is something that happens to everyone but for most of us it doesnt keep us from living a normal and productive life.
