Is there any guilt associated with this deception?

Sebastian Digby, the Duke of Wycliff has been branded a wonderlust man who inherits a title he does not deserve. Sebastian’s reputation is one built on rumor and innuendo with very little fact involved. When he returns to London to take control of his holdings Sebastian hires servants, one it seems is not wh0 they claim to be.

Eliza Fielding is secretly a writer for a scandal sheet who has figured out how to get the best information on Sebastian, work in his home. Sebastian is going to make for a world class story especially with all that wonderful ink he has all over his gorgeous body. Wait Eliza is here to get the scoop on her competition right, not have a relationship with Sebastian. Eliza continues her ruse and is even able to befriend Sebastian all the while using the bits and pieces she comes across to fill her articles with tantalizing tidbits.

The stories unfold, Sebastian becomes more notorious, and Eliza more smitten with each passing day. With the adventurer in him still calling Sebastian is finding himself torn by duty and called away to seek new treasures. Even with all his conflicts the one piece he is most at peace with is Eliza, feelings he never thought to have with anyone are coming to the surface and Sebastian is not sure what to do with them. Sebastian may know her secrets but are they worth telling if it means he might lose her?

Secrets can be told in many different ways but Maya Rodale has written them so you feel as if you are part of the whispered exchange.
